CHAPTER 3 : “AQEEDAH” AND PUNISHMENTS OF DEATH

CHAPTER 3 :  “AQEEDAH” AND PUNISHMENTS OF DEATH

Every television station in the west has aired stories about the  controversial head covering for women (hijab) that is taught by the mullahs. They do not say that it is another  idea that the mullahs have plagiarised  from the Book of 1stCorinthians in the New Testament of the Bible. It is definitely not from the Koran and the prophet. Today the mullahs direct much anger and even violence against women who do not cover their heads. We will discuss the hijab in detail in Chapter 17. Other than the hijab, the mullahs so called “shariah laws” like death for  apostates and stoning the adulterers to death are also taken from the Bible.

The mullahs say that all their biblical and other non Koranic prescriptions form the aqeedah or religious creed of the muslims. This concept of ‘aqeedah’ (Hebrew also aqeedah)  is another  intolerant idea the mullahs have plagiarised from the Bible.

Al-aqeedah according to the scholars of Islam is  the firm creed that one's heart is fixed upon without any wavering or doubt. It excludes any supposition, doubt  or suspicion.

It is a major concern of the mullahs that the  ‘aqeedah’ or firm creed beon the right track. They are always concerned that ‘aqeedah’ can be deviated or crooked, especially if it is the ‘aqeedah’ of their neighbours.  They always like to judge their neighbours.   In the never ending struggle between the shiahs and the sunnis, they both say that although they may have some outward similarities,  their aqeedah differs in that the core of their creed remains different. This gives them justification to kill each other.

The truth is that the Koran does not mention anything about ‘aqeedah’ or that it refers to religious faith,  belief  or a creed. The Koran only refers to trust or 'iman'.

There are occurrences  of derivatives like ‘uqdah’ referring to ‘the knot of marriage’ (2:235) or ‘aqada’ referring to upholding the proper sharing of  inheritances (4:33) but there is no such word as ‘aqeedah’ in the Koran referring to a creed or faith.

The word ‘aqeedah’ comes from the Bible, in this case the Hebrew language Bible.   The Oxford Companion to the Bible talks about 'aqeedah'.  Aqeedah: the Hebrew word for 'binding', and the common designation for Genesis  22:1-19 in which God tests Abraham by commanding that he sacrifice his son Isaac.  Abraham "binds" Isaac” (verse 9).  The New Testament refers to the aqeedah not as an example of a redemptive sacrificial death but rather as an example of “FAITH".

[Heb 11:17] By FAITH Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he whohad received the promises was ready to offer up his only son.

[Rom 4:16] That is why it depends on FAITH, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his descendants--not only to the adherents of the law but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, for he is the father of us all.

The prophet is said  to have existed around the seventh century AD. We will see later in Chapter 13 that there is no proper noun ‘muhammad’ mentioned in those five verses in the Koran which the mullahs say refer to ‘muhammad’. Neither is there any historical evidence that the prophet’s name was ‘muhammad’.

The sunnis did not come into existence until about the ninth century AD. This means the Hebrew Bible had a nine hundred year head start talking about ‘aqeedah’.   This is evidence enough that the mullah’s concept of aqeedah as a  “religious creed” has been plagiarized from the Bible.

The  mullahs shariah laws also include the “hudood” penal code including  the crime of apostasy which is punishable by death.  In the Koran there is absolutely no punishment for apostasy.   The Koran states that a person can jump into and out of belief without suffering any molestation. Here is the verse that proves it:

4:137 ‘Surely those who believe then disbelieve, again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them inthe right path’.

Quite obviously a person has to be alive and remain unmolested to continue jumping into  and out of belief like this.  If we believe, we are guided. If we do not believe, Allah will not guide us.  This is what the prophet taught in the Koran.  There is no  prescribed  punishment  of any sort  for the apostate.  The mullah belief that the apostate must be killed  goes against  the Koran. It is plagiarised from the Bible. This draconian belief has created too much bloodshed and war over the centuries.

Your have deviated from the aqeedah therefore it is lawful to kill you’ has been the murderous cry of too many confused mullahs.  Until today in countries like Saudi Arabia (wahhabism), Iran (shiahism)  and Pakistan (hanafi sunnism)  if you are not a follower of  their mainstream aqeedah you can be jailed, fined or worse.

In Saudi Arabia the shiahs are discriminated against. In Pakistan from time to time the shiahs are just shot and killed by the sunnis and vice versa. Of course now in Iraq the shiahs are returning the compliment. And any muslim who leaves Islam and converts to christianity, hinduism or any other ‘religion’ can also be killed for apostasy.

This murderous belief is taken from the Bible and then passed off as the teachings  of the prophet. Here is  the Bible:

Leviticus 24:16 -   “Moreover, the one who blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The alien as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.”

Luke 19:27 - But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.

Deuteronomy 13:5  -  That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10 -  If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

The Bible says those who blaspheme the name of the Lord, those who are ‘dreamers of dreams’, those who tell you to serve other gods must all be put to death.   This is what the mullahs say as well.

And the mullahs  shall have the final say in deciding what exactly is blasphemy, who exactly is a dreamer of dreams or  what exactly is ‘enticing you.’ If  they  say you are outside their ‘aqeedah’ you can be labeled an apostate and then killed.  This is not the teaching of Islam.  The prophet himself  taught us :

4:137 Surely those who believe then disbelieve, again believe and again disbelieve, then increase in disbelief, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them in the (right) path.

The Koran does not condone apostasy but the Koran allows the  freedom of belief and disbelief. It is a personal choice. There is no punishment prescribed  anywhere in the Koran for jumping in and out of  belief.  Most certainly the mullahsevil idea of death  for apostasy is not from the Koran.

The mullah’s prescription of stoning the adulterers to death is also plagiarised from the Bible.  Stoning anyone for anything is not part of the Koran or Islam.

Here is the Bible :

Deuteronomy 22: 23 - 24

22 If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept withher and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them todeath-the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

Leviticus 20:10 -  10 "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife-with the wife of his neighbour - both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

In the Bukhari collection of hadith  (Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, pages 209-210) we read an alleged sermon delivered by the third Caliph Umar  during his last pilgrimage:

"Certainly God sent Muhammad with the truth, and revealed to him  the Book. One of the revelations which came to him was the verse of stoning. We read  it and understood it. The Messenger of God stoned and we stoned after him.

I am  concerned that if time goes on, someone may say, 'By God, we do not find the verse  of stoning in the Book of God' thusthe Muslims will deviate by neglecting a  commandment the Almighty revealed.

Stoning is in the Book of God. It is the right punishment for a person who commits adultery if the required witnesses are available, or there was pregnancy without  marriage or adultery is admitted.

"When the verses of Stoning (Rajam)  and  "Rezah-Kabir" descended, they were  written on a piece of paper and kept under my pillow. Following the demise of  Prophet Muhammad  a goat ate the piece of paper while we were mourning.”

(Refer also i. Sunan Ibne Majah, Volume 2  ii. Musnad Imam Ahmad, Volume 6 and iii. TaweelMukhtalifAl  Hadees)

This is the infamous hadith where the mullahs  quote the Caliph Umar as saying  that the verse of stoning people to death was indeed revealed but it became abrogated after a GOAT ate the piece of  paper on which this verse was written. This story is too baffling even  to justify comment.  It is obviously a false hadith.

If indeed  thestoning verse had been abrogated, even by a hungry goat, why then keep stoning people to death?   This killing the adulteress / adulterer or stoning them to death is not found anywhere  in the Koran.  About those who commit adultery (zina)  the Koran says :

24:2 The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement.

There is no stoning punishment in the Koran.  It is only  in  the Bible and the mullahs fake hadith that  the adulterer and the adulteress must  be stoned to death or  killed.  The mullahspunishment of stoning to death has created a great slander against the prophet, the Koran and Islam.

The act of people stoning other people is indeed recorded five times in the Koran but  in  all five occurrences it is the pagan disbelievers or mushriks who indulge in the act.  Here are all the five  occurrences in the Koran  of pagans stoning people:

26:116 : Noah was threatened with stoning by the pagans.
19:46 :  Abraham's pagan father threatens to stone him.
18:20 : the Companions of the Cave fear beingstoned by pagans.
36:18 three messengers are threatened with stoning by pagans.
11:91 the Prophet Shuayb is threatened with stoning by pagans.

Throughout the Koran the only people who resort to stoning are the pagan disbelievers or mushriks. Stoning people is a pagan act that is not sanctioned by Islam.

And in the following verse from the Koran, the punishment for womenwho have suffered  bondage or have been held captive by poverty  who  then commit  indecency including fornication (even after they are married) is half the punishment meted out to free and independent women.

4:25 And whoever among you has not within his power ampleness of means tomarry free believing women, then (marry) those whom your right handspossess from among your believing maidens; and Allah knows best your faith: you arethe one from the other; so marry them with the permission of their people, and give them their dowries justly, they being chaste, NOT FORNICATING, nor receivingparamours; and when they are taken in marriage, then if they are guilty of indecency, they shall suffer half the punishment which is (inflicted) upon free women. This is forhim among you who fears falling into evil; and that you abstain is better for you, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

If their punishment is half of that inflicted upon free women, then in the event of fornication how will the  mullahsstone them  ‘half to death’?  The mullahs and their fabricated shariah laws have caused a lot of chaos, confusion and hardship because themullahs insist on upholding non Koranic punishments plagiarised from the Bible.
